I walked right up to your front door Called you up on your telephone But I know you're out there Thinking of me, thinking about you all the time And I can never stop I called you by your first name You said goodbye and then you walked away It's like I have always said I'm not one to be relied upon I called you from a payphone You said goodbye and then you hung up

Did you get my letter? I wrote it on my favorite paper Did you get my letter? I wrote it on my favorite paper Working part-time for the summer Hope to see you soon Saving money every week Learning a new tune I got your letter I mean to read it a little later I got your letter I mean to read it a little later Did you get that record player And was it used or new? After all things like that Are far between and few [Instrumental section] Working part-time for the summer Hope to see you soon Saving money every week Learning a new tune [Instrumental section] Did you get my letter? I wrote it on my favorite paper Did you get my letter? Did you get my letter? Did you get my letter?

I put a picture of the house I grew up in across the hall From the mirror leaning on my wall I stood between 'em to feel the feeling I took to taking pictures of the pictures from when my parents were young. They wouldn't even notice if they were gone I had the albums all along Growing up can wear you out Do do do do do do Getting older is getting easy But it's easier for you Easier for you Digitize these polaroids I gotta get them outta my life The one of you and me in Mississippi, baby Buying apples in the park. Growing up can wear you out Do do do do do do Getting older is getting easy But it's easier for you Easier for you [Instrumental section] Growing up can wear you out Do do do do do do Getting older is getting easy But it's easier for you Easier for you

I wanna go out do it all again Just like yesterday In a moment, in a moment I wanna play a song I forgot the words Can we stop to look them up? Do you know it? Do it your know it? [Ooo's] Don't take these days away from me [x4] Tell me all the things that I wanna know Can I use your telephone? For a moment, for a moment I wanna play a song I forgot the words Can we stop to look them up? Do you know it? Do it your know it? [Ooo's] Don't take these days away from me [x4] [Instrumental section] Don't take these days away from me [x4]

about

Floor Sitter is a celebration of incompetence. These songs are an homage to the hazy days of living your early 20s in San Francisco, inspired by the off-kilter genius of musicians who can't quite get things right, attempting to make pop music despite a natural deviant turn in their ears. This release is a practice run for even more deviance to come.
